Israel Gonzalez, LMT

Israel Gonzalez grew up in a community where touch was an integral part of his culture. Even as a young child, Israel helped to relieve the stress and overworked muscles of his parents. He would continue to massage his friends and family throughout his life.

In the fall of 2016, Israel decided to get a formal education in massage therapy. Ten months later, Israel graduated and received his license to start a formal career as a massage therapist.

This work has opened Israel’s mind to how the body heals and releases. One of the most fascinating concepts in massage is intention. In every massage, Israel uses grounding techniques to become fully present and provide a healing intention. He wants to further his training in light-touch modalities such as myofascial and craniosacral therapy.

A recent graduate of Cortiva, School of Massage Therapy, Israel is a dedicated massage therapist whose purpose is to create space for healing within a client. He brings a unique physical, as well as emotional, strength.

Israel also brings his commitment and talent to our city's youth as a music and band teacher at Aspira-Olney Charter High School in Philadelphia. In addition, he is a Board Member and Counselor at Compass Mark, a youth alcohol and drug prevention program.
