Specialties:  Healthy Aging, Lower Back Care, Returning after Injury or Surgery, Yoga Teacher Mentoring, Restorative, Mind-Body-Spirit Connection

Val is an Advanced Kripalu Yoga Teacher and loves what she does!  She started her yoga journey in her 40's at East Eagle Yoga in Havertown, where she took her initial 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training.  Val is a life-long learner with a passion to teach what she has learned with others. She has continued her yoga teacher education and in 2013 achieved her 500-hour YTT at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health.

In her yoga teacher training, Val realized that her dharma, or life purpose, is to help others to live mindfully, and to find inner peace and balance in their lives.

Yoga is such a wonderful way to learn to connect with our bodies, to live from our center, and manage the natural highs and lows of life.  Val is also a certified career and life coach and brings a coach approach to her yoga clients - helping them tap into their inner strength and connect with their true selves on and off the mat.

As a yoga teacher Val uses her intuition and empathy to tune into her students, and hold a sacred space for them.  She enjoys teaching a wonderfully diverse group of people, ranging from teens with special needs, to seniors, and other yoga teachers.

Val has an easy teaching style that brings wisdom and a sense of lightness to her classes.  When you meet Val you will also notice that her Scottish accent adds a special soothing quality to her teaching.

In her leisure time Val enjoys gardening, cooking, traveling and looking after three Welsh Terrier pups with her hubby Don.
